Faith That Interrupts Heaven

Denise Renner

What a powerful weekend at Vida Church!

We were incredibly blessed to have Denise Renner minister to our church family and many guests. From the moment worship began on Friday night, the atmosphere was charged with hunger for Jesus, and by Sunday’s services, we had witnessed undeniable demonstrations of God's presence. Signs, wonders, and miracles flowed as hearts were stirred and lives were transformed by the healing power of God.

Denise boldly declared, “Our faith is more precious than gold.” It is a treasure within us, and—when activated—our faith has the power to interrupt Jesus! Teaching from Mark 2:2-12, she illuminated how the woman with the issue of blood interrupted Jesus with her faith. Likewise, the faith of four friends tore through the roof of Jesus' house to bring their paralyzed friend before Him—and “When Jesus saw their faith,” the man was healed! Denise emphasized, “Their faith was more real than the paralysis!”

Faith moves the heart of God. It pleases Him to see us stand in unwavering belief. She proclaimed, “Faith interrupts sickness, poverty, and lack!” In Mark 2:8-12, Jesus revealed the complete work of the cross—forgiveness of sins and healing of diseases. Both belong to us through His blood sacrifice. Denise challenged us to walk in this supernatural power, because the world needs to encounter the living God who still forgives, still heals, and still performs miracles today.

On Sunday, Denise brought Mark 10:46-52 to life, painting a vivid picture of blind Bartimaeus—a man desperate to be free from his old identity as a blind beggar. With relentless determination, he cried out to Jesus, refusing to be silenced by the crowd. He knew Jesus was his only answer, and he wasn’t going to stop calling on Him until he received his healing.

Denise declared with passion, “When the devil says ‘shut up’—scream louder!”

She reminded us that many people don’t receive their breakthrough because they aren’t desperate enough. For Bartimaeus, Jesus wasn’t just an option—He was the only hope. She urged us to draw near to Jesus, to spend time with Him, so we know what we want Him to do for us. She said, "God can work with honest prayers."

We are called to live supernaturally. Denise proclaimed, “God is supernatural, and we—the body of Christ—are not natural. We are supernatural, and we do supernatural works because His power is in us.”

She left us with a challenge: meditate on Ephesians 1:16-23 and Ephesians 3:16-20 morning and night, and it will transform your life. God is not withholding miracles from us; rather, we must activate our faith to receive more than we could ever ask or imagine, according to His power at work within us.

This Sunday at Vida, we were challenged with a simple but powerful question: Are we merely Christians who know the Word, or are we actually participating in what we believe?

We can spend so much of our lives looking for the extraordinary that we miss the sacredness of the ordinary. We wait for the next season. The breakthrough. The opportunity. The relationship to change. The circumstances to improve. We imagine that when something finally shifts, then our real life will begin. But God is not only the God of where we're going. He is the God of right here and right now.

We are living in what many have called an epidemic of loneliness. Although we are more connected technologically than ever before, many people still lack deep, meaningful friendships. As the Church, one of our greatest distinguishing marks should be our ability to love one another. Jesus said the world would recognize His disciples by the way they love.

Healthy relationships don't happen by accident. They are built intentionally as we allow God to shape the way we love, encourage, and walk with one another. This week, Pastor Ben continued our Kingdom Relationships series by focusing on two foundational pillars: vision and faith.

Every relationship in our lives isn't meant to carry the same weight. Some are casual, others are seasonal, and a few become deep Kingdom relationships worth intentionally investing in. As Pastor Ben reminded us this Sunday, healthy Kingdom relationships don't happen by accident—they're built on self-control, responsibility, and truth.
