Three Parts of Salvation

The Three Parts of Salvation
Pastor Kara Diaz
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
Pastor Kara shared a powerful reminder that salvation is not just a moment—it’s a journey that unfolds in three parts: spirit, soul, and body.
1. Spirit (Past)
The moment we receive Jesus, our spirit is made alive. We are fully forgiven, made righteous, and given a new identity as children of God. We are no longer defined by sin, but by who He says we are.
2. Soul (Present)
While our spirit is instantly transformed, our mind, will, and emotions are being renewed daily. As we align our thoughts with God’s truth, we begin to live differently—free from striving, people-pleasing, and old patterns.
As Pastor Kara shared, “Just because you find trash in the house doesn’t mean the house is trash.”
We don’t condemn ourselves—we simply remove what doesn’t belong and keep becoming who God says we are.
3. Body (Future)
One day, we will see Jesus face to face, and our earthly bodies will be made new. What a hope we have!
Salvation is complete in Christ—but we grow into it as we renew our minds and live from our true identity: righteous, accepted, and deeply loved.
