God Wants You Blessed

What’s Included in the Covenant:

Overabundance and Increase
Pastor Ben Diaz

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.” — 2 Corinthians 8:9

This Sunday, Pastor Ben concluded the series on what is included in our covenant, what Jesus paid for and now freely offers us by His grace.

At the center is a powerful truth: the great exchange includes provision. Jesus became poor so that we could step into the fullness of life God intended, not just spiritually, but in every area.

Through Scripture, we were reminded that God’s nature is not lack, but abundance, fruitfulness, and increase. Yet many believers have unknowingly embraced the idea that poverty is holy. The Bible is clear, money is not the problem, the love of money is (1 Timothy 6:10).

Pastor pointed us back to God’s original design in the Garden of Eden, a place of delight, beauty, and provision. A river flowed through it, carrying resources meant to be discovered. The names of the rivers reveal God’s heart: increase, overflow, swift movement, and fruitfulness (Genesis 2).

Where God is, there is flow. And that flow is meant to move through us, not stop with us.

We also saw that Jesus’ poverty was not His lifestyle, but His sacrifice at the cross. His life demonstrated provision, but His death secured it for us. Through Him, we are invited into a life that reflects heaven’s reality.

God’s desire, as seen in 3 John 2, is that we would prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers. As we remain rooted in His presence, He not only provides, He gives us wisdom, ideas, and direction to walk in it.

The call is simple: renew our minds and align with God’s value system. As we do, we position ourselves to live in His abundance, not for self, but to advance His Kingdom.

Because what God provides is not meant to be hoarded, it’s meant to flow.

One of the greatest gifts God gives us in every season is the opportunity to know Him more deeply. Pastor Ben reminded us that every new situation we face is an invitation to discover another aspect of God's nature. When challenges arise, we can ask: "Lord, what part of Your nature do I need to come intervene in my life right now?" Scripture reveals more than 200 names and titles for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. This week we explored four of those names and discovered how they point us to Jesus, how they are fulfilled in Him, and how we are now called to carry His nature into the world around us.

Do you know God personally? It's a question worth slowing down to consider. In a culture where information is abundant, it's possible to know a lot about God without actually knowing Him. We can quote Scriptures, attend church, listen to sermons, and participate in ministry activities, yet still miss the relationship God has always desired.

Clint went into detail about what the fire of the Holy Spirit is really for. Many people may think it is only about speaking in tongues, but it is so much more than that. He gave the illustration of carrying around your cell phone for a year, thinking you know everything it can do, and then suddenly someone shows you a feature you never knew existed. Clint showed us some additional features of the Holy Spirit!
