Your Opinion is not in the Bible

Shut Your Mouth: When God Speaks
Martin Sedra
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2Timothy 3:16
This Sunday, Martin Sedra delivered a bold message on the authority of God’s Word. The heart of it was clear: when God speaks, we do not debate, dilute, or adjust His truth to fit culture, we submit. Jesus is not merely a friend who affirms opinions, He is Lord, King, and Master.
Pastor Martin addressed cultural issues through a biblical lens, affirming God’s design for marriage and identity, warning against pride in any form, mourning the loss of unborn lives, and pointing to the forgiveness and hope found in Christ. He challenged men to reject passivity and lead with strength and courage, and encouraged women to embrace biblical femininity, strong, honoring, and rooted in the Lord.
He cautioned against sugarcoated sermons that avoid hard truths to protect comfort or popularity. Drawing from his family’s testimony of facing persecution in Egypt, he reminded us that standing for truth may cost us, but faithfulness matters more than approval.
The message concluded with a call to boldness. All who desire greater courage, especially the younger generation, were invited to receive prayer and empowerment from the Holy Spirit to stand firm in truth in every sphere of life.
