He Isn't Here

New Title

Don't You Remember?
He Is Risen! Resurrection Sunday Message

Pastor Ben Diaz

“He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”

— Matthew 28:6

If Jesus hadn’t risen from the dead, we’d be just another religion with a set of beliefs. But we serve a living Savior! Jesus overcame death by the power of God—and that same power now lives in us who believe. He wants to work through us to heal the sick, raise the dead, and be vessels for miracles, signs, and wonders—so that the world will know the depth of God’s love and the power of His forgiveness.

It’s wild to think that the ones who crucified Jesus remembered He said He’d rise again… but His own disciples, after walking closely with Him for three years, forgot. Grief, guilt, and fear clouded their memory of His promise.

After the resurrection, the Jewish leaders bribed the soldiers and spread a lie to cover up what really happened. And many still believe that lie today. Pastor Ben encouraged us—don’t fall for the lies or the bad reports the world throws at you. Believe God’s report! Isaiah 53:1 says, “Who has believed our report?” Let that be you.

He also challenged us: Are we remembering His promises today? That’s why staying connected to a church family matters. We need to hear and rehearse God’s Word so we can claim it for ourselves and live in victory—over sin, sickness, and even death.

And if you’ve never received Jesus’s gift of salvation, you don’t have to clean yourself up or “get ready” first. Come just as you are—and let Him do the transforming. Jesus already took all the punishment so you could receive His eternal life. Don’t wait—receive it today.

And once you do, don’t hold back. Don’t limit what God can do through you. Let’s make Jesus famous together, click Here to watch and share our full Resurrection Service!

This Sunday at Vida, we were challenged with a simple but powerful question: Are we merely Christians who know the Word, or are we actually participating in what we believe?

We can spend so much of our lives looking for the extraordinary that we miss the sacredness of the ordinary. We wait for the next season. The breakthrough. The opportunity. The relationship to change. The circumstances to improve. We imagine that when something finally shifts, then our real life will begin. But God is not only the God of where we're going. He is the God of right here and right now.

We are living in what many have called an epidemic of loneliness. Although we are more connected technologically than ever before, many people still lack deep, meaningful friendships. As the Church, one of our greatest distinguishing marks should be our ability to love one another. Jesus said the world would recognize His disciples by the way they love.

Healthy relationships don't happen by accident. They are built intentionally as we allow God to shape the way we love, encourage, and walk with one another. This week, Pastor Ben continued our Kingdom Relationships series by focusing on two foundational pillars: vision and faith.

Every relationship in our lives isn't meant to carry the same weight. Some are casual, others are seasonal, and a few become deep Kingdom relationships worth intentionally investing in. As Pastor Ben reminded us this Sunday, healthy Kingdom relationships don't happen by accident—they're built on self-control, responsibility, and truth.
