Call to Action!

Pastor Ben Diaz

Hello Church Family!

We are in a wave of revival—this is a revival of
Boldness and Truth!

This Sunday, many new believers publicly declared their faith through baptism, telling the world they are followers of Jesus and want to glorify Him with their lives.

How exciting to see the Holy Spirit moving so powerfully in our church family! People are boldly sharing the gospel, and Pastor reminded us, “Revival doesn’t happen apart from evangelism.”

Revival is marked by deliverance, salvation, rededication, and a deep hunger for God. Pastor shared that spiritual hunger works opposite of natural hunger—when you feast on the Word and the Holy Spirit, your hunger grows! But stay away from the Word and fellowship, and your hunger fades.

Pastor also warned against hesitation in this season: “The #1 cause of roadkill is hesitation!”

Something was birthed in the Spirit in our church last week as Pastor Kara travailed in the Spirit. She shared that, on the Jewish calendar, this is the year of David—the year of “war and worship.” When asking the Lord what the travail was about, He led her to Isaiah 42:10-15:

“Sing his praises from the ends of the earth… The Lord will march forth like a mighty hero… He will shout his battle cry… But now, like a woman in labor, I will cry and groan and pant. I will level the mountains…”

Pastor encouraged us to ride this wave—like a surfer catching the perfect wave—and become intentional about sharing the gospel, keeping our lamps full with extra oil like the five wise virgins (not just having religion).

He reminded us: “Every religion is about what you have to do to get to God. True Christianity is about what Jesus did to get close to us.” Receiving Jesus requires humility—it’s saying, “I can’t do enough to earn God’s approval, but Jesus did it all for me. I need You, Jesus!”

We are called to be the light in the darkness. When we connect with heaven, we change the atmosphere around us. Pastor urged us to be bold and courageous, like Charlie Kirk, who stood firm with the truth, despite opposition and died a martyr. But John 12:24 reminds us  “I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.”

Just like the early church grew in the face of persecution, now it’s our time. Some may sit on the sidelines, but Pastor challenged us to say “Yes” to God and watch what He does with surrendered hearts. Speak the truth in love—tell people they need Jesus!

This week, read Acts 6 and take the salvation cards with you. Make it your goal to share Jesus as the Holy Spirit leads. The harvest is ready—let’s bring it in!

This Sunday at Vida, we were challenged with a simple but powerful question: Are we merely Christians who know the Word, or are we actually participating in what we believe?

We can spend so much of our lives looking for the extraordinary that we miss the sacredness of the ordinary. We wait for the next season. The breakthrough. The opportunity. The relationship to change. The circumstances to improve. We imagine that when something finally shifts, then our real life will begin. But God is not only the God of where we're going. He is the God of right here and right now.

We are living in what many have called an epidemic of loneliness. Although we are more connected technologically than ever before, many people still lack deep, meaningful friendships. As the Church, one of our greatest distinguishing marks should be our ability to love one another. Jesus said the world would recognize His disciples by the way they love.

Healthy relationships don't happen by accident. They are built intentionally as we allow God to shape the way we love, encourage, and walk with one another. This week, Pastor Ben continued our Kingdom Relationships series by focusing on two foundational pillars: vision and faith.

Every relationship in our lives isn't meant to carry the same weight. Some are casual, others are seasonal, and a few become deep Kingdom relationships worth intentionally investing in. As Pastor Ben reminded us this Sunday, healthy Kingdom relationships don't happen by accident—they're built on self-control, responsibility, and truth.
